Tonight I had the honor of sitting on a panel alongside other strong and inspiring caregivers and parents navigating the Dravet world.

We shared our stories in a room full of healthcare providers, scientists, advocates, and professionals attending the American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting.

Many of you know our journey with Weston’s diagnosis from day one, and some of you also know we had the opportunity to be part of a powerful Dravet documentary that was filmed earlier this year.

I won’t lie… tonight made me nervous. Partly because these pregnancy hormones are no joke and I thought for sure I’d do more crying than talking…but also because sharing our story and what life looks for us now never gets easier. Still, I walked away feeling encouraged and empowered… reminded that we’re not alone on this journey, that our Dravet community is strong, and that even when we don’t know what the future holds with Weston, we trust the one who does. 🙏🏽

No matter what, we’ll always remain hopeful for a cure, expectant for miracles, and I’ll never stop being a voice for my boy! 💜🦋

The journey to motherhood is unpredictable, sanctifying, and transformative. It’s both challenging & beautiful.

No one really talks about the quiet moments of surrender, the way you learn to trust God with the unseen, or the emotions that feel too big for words. There are days that stretch you in ways you never expected, moments that humble you, and nights that remind you how deeply love can grow.

Motherhood comes with highs and lows, joy and heaviness… but through it all, there’s purpose woven into every season, growth in every challenge, and a God who is faithful in every chapter. I’m so grateful for how he continues to write my story, and for the beauty tucked into even the messy, ordinary moments. Because this is motherhood. 🤍

Closing out the month with so much gratitude. 🥹

This past Sunday, physically celebrated ONE YEAR over our first of many Social Nights! What I once imagined as a space for blogging and encouraging mamas online has blossomed into so much more.. simply because God said, “nah, build bigger.” This space has truly grown into a thriving community of mamas, and I am in awe of what’s happening inside our sweet little corner.

A huge thank you to every supporter, prayer warrior, event sponsor, and mamas who show up, open their hearts, and let me be a small part of their motherhood journey. Your presence is everything.

Caregiving is a calling, but it can also be heavy. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are very real when you’re balancing appointments, medications, and the unknowns of Dravet syndrome.

What helps me most is taking space to breathe through prayer, quiet moments of reflection, stepping outside for fresh air, or simply saying “yes” when loved ones offer help.

These practices remind me that my well-being matters, too, and that I can show up stronger for my family when I care for myself.

If you’re in this journey, too, know that your feelings are valid. Lean on your faith, your community, and resources like Shine Forward with Dravet. You were never meant to carry this alone. 💜
