I grabbed the credit card receipt from this table and found this note. At first, I thought it was on the merchant's copy instead of a tip, but then I realized it was the customer's copy, and they had left me 20%. It took me a minute to figure out what they were trying to say. Does nobody want our food? Does nobody want my service?

They were super happy while they were here, so I realized they meant that nobody wants the customer's copy. Of course, this isn't true, and lots of people DO want it... but still, why write a whole note about it? Why do they seem so bothered about customer copies?

I'm so curious! Maybe they were just trying to be funny. I don't know, do you guys have any other ideas? This was a new one for me, haha.

Ever had somebody claim it’s a ripoff on the restaurant’s end to base the tip percentage off of the post-tax amount and not the pre-tax?

Our deposit received from the landlord. Even if we contested the stuff he shouldn't charge for, it would just zero out. I'm sure we're (lucky) he isn't charging us the overage 🙄
