Once again, our great institutions are threatened by loss of accreditation. is one of the few HBCUs, are put in serious danger due to financial reasons. Over the past two years, this school has made significant gains in addressing its financial stability by generating a surplus of $461,038 with no audit findings, having an increase in enrollment and average freshman GPA from 2.8 to 3.2, being approved for a capital loan deferment over a six-year period with a financial benefit of nearly $9 million, having its fundraising raised from 3.47 million to $4.25 million over a 3-year period, while also continuing to support its mission activities, and academic and student programs. This is only the gist of how much this school has accomplished within a short timeframe. Needless to say, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools do not feel that this is enough. Bennett College needs to reach a minimum of 5 million dollars in order to keep its accreditation by February 1, 2019. So far, they have only raised 1 million dollars. This HBCU needs YOU!
