My youngest student was 2 years old and my oldest was 65. The pure joy that they and all of those in between express class after class could be bottled up and given out to bring about world peace.

I started teaching DJing 2 years ago really out of a favor. Several of my women friends asked if I could teach them because men that they had previously asked either 1) just wanted to sleep with them, 2) spoke down to them while “showing them the ropes” or 3) promised and promised, but never followed through.

It grew to be more women students and then kids who were interested and here we are today. Now, even the guys call and take classes.

Everyone is different. We always have fun. But I just never expected this level of my own joy from simply connecting their weeks or years of curiosity to the actual beginning of their DJ journey. 🥰

Mothers ❤️

The 2nd picture is me, taken Jan 7, 1975, less than a month after my birth. I was in a foster home. This was after my biological mom was forced to give me up for adoption and before my parents would adopt me in April 1975.

2 Mothers - Each had her own journey around Motherhood and each still on her own path to self discovery. I can’t actually fully imagine what either of them went through, giving your baby away with thoughts you may never see her again or raising a daughter and pouring everything you knew how to give, yet one huge piece was always missing.

Without the other, their stories are drastically different. I am grateful to each for their very special gifts to me.
