Good morning, everyone! I wanted to check in and share what’s happening with me, the podcast, and what the future holds for both.
As many of you know, we’ve been on a break since last year. Amber’s case is progressing, and there’s now a court date set for March, having moved from February. This hearing will address some minor details and key factors, but it seems we won’t see a trial until January or February of next year. I’ll keep you updated on any changes or hopefully some plea deals that may come through.
DJ’s case is scheduled for court in May. We’re optimistic about this, and I’ll be there on-site for the proceedings. I plan to provide daily updates to keep you informed.
Regarding the podcast, many of you know I started it as a therapeutic outlet for myself and a way to help others. As my life has progressed, I’ve experienced significant improvements both mentally and physically, and my desire to help has grown during this time. I feel I can offer so much more than just a podcast for a few hundred listeners. I want to make a real impact on families and victims, but I’m uncertain about the direction of the podcast moving forward. I don’t know how it will evolve, but it will remain an essential outlet for me, as well as for families and victims. I just need to figure out the best way to approach it. I genuinely appreciate each and every one of you for your support; it means a lot to me. I’ll continue to update you as I navigate this journey.
On a personal note, I’m diving deeper into advocacy work. I’m collaborating with NOVA to become a certified victim advocate, with classes starting on March 31. I’m currently looking for ways to secure funding for this, as it’s a bit outside my usual budget. I’ll keep you posted on that, and I hope to be a certified victim advocate by mid-year, working closely with some nonprofits and similar organizations.
Once again, I love and appreciate you all. Thank you for your unwavering support during this time. I’ll continue to strive to make a positive impact in people’s lives. We’ll talk soon, and I’ll keep you updated!
