Falling in love felt easy when the right person finally showed up. On our first date, Jamal said he felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time. I just remember thinking how tall he was, how funny, how easy he was to talk to without pretending or shrinking. Then we found out our lives had been running parallel long before we ever met. We were both born in Brooklyn, both raised in Georgia around the same time, both grew up twenty miles from Atlanta, me on the south side, him on the north. We had even been in the same rooms before without knowing it. That wasn’t random. That was alignment. Now, communication is our foundation. We talk instead of argue. We put each other before the problem. We stay honest, even when the conversation is uncomfortable. We cheer for each other’s dreams, we listen, and we grow. If you’re reading this, let it remind you that real love feels like safety, friendship, and a place your heart can rest. Tag someone who brings out the best in you.

Found these pre-pregnancy moments and looking back at it now feels so surreal. Pregnancy was truly one of the most beautiful seasons of my life. Watching my body change, feeling every little flutter and kick, and knowing there was a tiny life growing inside me was a miracle I’ll never take for granted.

There were so many emotions, lessons, prayers, and moments of gratitude throughout that journey. And now, getting to hold the little life I spent months carrying and praying over makes it all feel even more meaningful.

Pregnancy was the beginning of our story as parents, but having our baby here has been the sweetest part of the journey. Looking back, I’m just grateful I slowed down enough to soak it all in.

The season has changed, but the love has only grown. 🤍
