There have been times in my life and career where I was in rooms where I was the only African-American, the only female the only obese person, or maybe the oldest person. It made me feel isolated, yet all eyes MUST be on me. In many cases I felt like I had to jump through hoops to prove that I had a RIGHT to be at the tables of influence that I found myself at. Inside I knew I had the goods, however the dynamic or even the DEMOGRAPHIC in the room somewhat intimidated me. As I look back over the years, in hind sight I recognize areas of opportunity disguised as moments of weakness. I had to bring my brother, Andrew Griffin in on this because he is the experienced in helping us build up our confidence in ways that are sustainable in business, life, relationships, parenting, and more. His testimony is so powerful and it speaks to the limitless capabilities we have. So please gather your family, friends, church members, coworkers, team members and let's go deeper into self-confidence and how we sometimes shrivel around others when there is really no need to.
