This week’s testimonial comes from my ol’ broadcast training client, Award-winning meteorologist and traffic anchor, KJ Jacobs!
KJ is currently making waves as a meteorologist/traffic anchor at WCPO 9 News in Cincinnati, Ohio, where viewers can wake up with him on “Good Morning Tri-State” for up-to-the-minute traffic reports and weather forecasts.
Throughout his broadcasting journey, KJ served as a meteorologist at WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina; WTKR News 3 in Norfolk, Virginia; WPDE TV 15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama; and WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, West Virginia. He also worked as a news content specialist/video journalist at WBRC FOX6 News in Birmingham, Alabama.
KJ has gone beyond traditional forecasting by creating engaging segments like “Weather IQ” and “KJ’s Kids,” helping educate and connect with viewers in unique ways — work that also earned him the 2024 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
“I am fortunate to have Annie on my team. I have seen tremendous growth in myself both on and off camera. Try to wrap your head around the idea of someone working hard to see another person be successful — that’s Annie,” says KJ.
I’m so proud to have been part of his journey!
