ICYMI from PRI: Dodge Stellantis is set to release the newly ABC Late Model sanctioned Dodge Charger body kit produced by Five Star Bodies.
Officially named the "Dodge Charger S**t Pack", the kit features the Dodge Charger nose and rear bumper facias and utilizes the "Gen-6" body panel platform developed by Five Star as the next evolution in late model body design.
While the Gen-6 platform has been in use for several years now, most notably in the CARS Tour as their only option, this body - in the Ford, Chevy and Toyota variants - have largely been used sparingly by Pro and Super Late Model teams as the general consensus has been that the older Gen-4 platform still carried a greater aerodynamic advantage.
Changes in the rules surrounding the spoiler area and, well... time, has seen a rise in the use of the Gen-6 bodies by more and more teams, especially towards the end of the 2025 racing season.
The new Dodge will be available for teams to use in the 2026 racing season and will be approved for use in any series that utilizes the ABC Late Model sanctioning agreement.
What do you think about the new Dodge bodies? If you are a racer, will you be using them?
How about the Gen-6 platform as a whole... what are your thoughts now that the rules have been adjusted?
