“They have brothers, and sisters, and cousins, and you guys are killing them.”

Those were some of the emotional words shouted by protesters outside Delaney Hall in New Jersey, where demonstrators continue to gather to condemn the treatment of detained immigrants and call attention to the human impact of federal immigration enforcement.

Protesters say they will continue showing up outside the facility as they demand accountability, transparency, and an end to the inhumane treatment of detainees.

More than half a dozen detainees at Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz” immigration jail said guards were denying them food and fresh water until they signed documents presented to them in English that they did not understand.

In an audio recording of a telephone call to an immigration advocacy group, detainees alleged that the water given to them over the last three days was “rotten” and containing mosquito larvae, in an apparent attempt to pressure them to sign.

NBA free agent Terry Rozier violated his contract with the Miami Heat, an arbitrator has ruled, meaning he must forfeit most of his $26.6 million salary for the 2025-26 season.

Rozier was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in October and pleaded not guilty. Last week, federal prosecutors filed additional charges, including sports bribery and honest services wire fraud conspiracy.

The superseding indictment alleges that Rozier solicited and accepted a $100,000 bribe in exchange for tipping off a group of bettors about his plan to exit a 2023 Hornets game early because of an injury.

Morehouse School of Medicine is partnering with the City of Atlanta on plans for a major hospital development to expand healthcare access in underserved communities.

The need for additional medical infrastructure intensified after the 2022 closures of Atlanta Medical Center and Atlanta Medical Center-South, which left many residents with fewer nearby options for emergency and inpatient care.

If approved, the hospital would represent one of the largest healthcare investments in Atlanta in recent years and would create additional training opportunities for future physicians.
