Being yourself in today’s world is hard.

Our society puts a picture in our head how the ideal life should look like for everyone and what is right or wrong.

Do you stand up for yourself self?

It can be as little as saying “no” or stepping out of the conventional & pursuing your desires even though your family and friends think you are floating on a cloud.

You are the one living your life so make it yours 🫶🏼

My cousin represents strength and courage for me. He inspires me because he took the leap and trusted his feelings to do what’s best for him.

It’s never easy but it is rewarding to see how people evolve & bloom when they are true to themselves.

So I encourage you to be you and trust yourself, the right people will find you & your life will change ✨

This wasn’t an easy decision.

Even thought deep down I know we did the right decision it doesn’t mean it was an easy one.

It was scary and uncomfortable.

It overwhelmed me.

BUT — The hard uncomfortable decisions are usually the most life changing ✨

— life throws opportunities our way and then it’s up to us — either we take action and see our life change or we don’t & continue to live comfortable not really happy life wondering what if.

Off to a new chapter 💫

I don’t even know where to start, Atlanta has been a home for us for the last 8 years. I learned to love it here because of the people we met and made lifelong friendships. It’s the city where I got healthy, graduated, got married, bought our first house, Beastie joined us and I gave birth to our daughter.

It’s a chapter I will always cherish.

Since last year when we were moving to Florida & it did not happen, we (as a family) had a feeling that we want to explore, something was pulling us towards an adventure.

Here we are, moving up north.

We love Washington DC area and whenever we’ve visited we always thought about living there.

Our desire came true and we are so excited ✨

I am not big on saying good bye and there is so many people I did not get to see; keeping friendships alive is a work itself but I know we will see each other again.

Cheers to vibrant & supportive friendships, new adventure, and happiness.

Thank you ATL, I will dearly miss everyone.

Where are we headed next?

Traveling is my passion & I love to explore new cities, cultures, food, & nature. I’ve driven through Chattanooga many times but never really got to see the city, so charming little town!

We are headed for a big adventure next week that I kept a little secret, well I still do. I am not sure why, but it feels right to me; so whenever I feel good about sharing it here — you will know ❤️

Love without reason.

I’ve learned so much about myself as a mom & Ayla keeps teaching me simple but very important principles daily.

One that hits me the most is her openness to strangers. She is keeping her distance & from a safe place she will show her friendly open heart; she waves, smiles, or plays peek-a-boo with people I don’t even notice.

I know they are there but I don’t actually look at them to see them. She does.

It makes my heart full seeing her creating smiles around us 🫶🏼

Lesson: If the heart is full it has enough to share.

Breastfeeding

The strongest connection between mother and a baby. There is nothing like it & it’s hard to explain how it feels.

When our breastfeeding story started I was timing how long Ayla feeds, how often, if it’s right or left breast, and just trying to be in control. My pediatrician, parents, and my friends asking all the questions and giving me suggestions or having concerns.

It was a lot and it took me some time to trust my gut feeling and to trust Ayla. Babies know what they are doing and what they need.

When I look back at the first 3-4 months, I think Ayla was breastfeeding all the time. Sometimes it took her 5 min and sometimes 30 min — and that’s okey! I personally did not care where I breastfeed and if someone is looking.

Breastfeeding is not just about feeding. It so much more & it’s so beautiful!

It’s natural thing to do, embrace it.

Slow down for rest of the summer.

Being home and trying to see everyone & do all the things makes me feel rushed. Me and Ayla are all over the place, seeing my friends & family, exploring things I did not pay attention to when I wasn’t a mom.

I am so grateful I get to do this but also I just want to be.

I want to slow down. Don’t have any plans. Have snack picnic in the park just because I don’t feel like cooking. Let my mind be bored.

We tend to focus on future & the things we want to accomplish and we forget that the life we are living right now was our dream several years back.

BE GRATEFUL.. and take a bit in every day to SLOW DOWN.
