Jack Smith’s team obtained personal data on at least 639,000 Republicans, which included buyers of red MAGA hats and their home shipping addresses.
According to a Senate Judiciary Committee memo from Chairman Chuck Grassley, based on subpoena returns and whistleblower disclosures in the Arctic Frost probe, the data included names, dates of birth, physical addresses, emails, party registration, occupations, congressional districts, donation amounts, often small-dollar, as low as $1, credit card details, and more.
Some donor records dated back to 2005.
Grassley called it “incredibly invasive” collection “beyond what could conceivably be necessary” for the special counsel’s mandate, saying it further showed an effort “to map out the entire Republican Party apparatus.”
This isn’t narrow investigation of a single case. It’s broad collection on everyday supporters, donors, and merchandise buyers.
Accountability is overdue.
