The Bible says that the enemy comes to "kill, steal and destroy," and that my friend, he did. Although God had knitted and formed me in the womb and had a hope and future for me-satan had a plan too. And his plan worked for a really long time. The day came though that I would finally realize what the biggest and deepest of all wounds were-"THE WOUND". It was the day I realized what he had stolen, what he had killed and what he had destroyed- or tried to. He had tried to steal who God created me to be. He had killed my right to be valued and loved and constantly endorsing it through abusive people. He had tried to destroy my soul. It went much deeper that just my idenity. It was my personhood, my core being, my spirit, personality, mind and even my body. He had attempted to steal ME! What I thought, how I felt, my "no's" even my "yes's" along with any opinions. He stole my voice my agency, my space my breath. He stole the love that I had a right to.

There are days that just suck! Please forgive me if that word is a cuss word to you. But I don't know of a better word. Here at Transparent Woman, we keep things, well, REAL. Life is Real. Problems are REAL and so is God! Some of us are hit with illnesses that render us almost nonfunctioning some are stricken by lack in finances, and some have some pretty tumultuous relationships we are trying to navigate. Some of us are just trying to learn to like ourselves. In these moments doubt can creep in and we can begin to spiral in our emotions and we just really want to go back to bed and try again (maybe) tomorrow!

Where is God in this? The burden is heavy and we have prayed every prayer we can and we are left with a heavy heart and weariness of soul. This is where I tell you, " I know a guy." He was a nobody, worked a blue collar job and his own family didn't think too much of him. He usually got the short end of the stick and his brothers were always judging his motives-incorrectly might I add. There are letters he has penned where he literally is so depressed that he is also asking God where he is and when is he going to show up. This guy was also called a man after God's own heart....some of you are beginning to know who I am talking of....yep....good ole David. King David to some. He was up one day then down in the pitts other days. He was expressive of his feelings but come to understand the art of "encouraging himself" in the Lord. Through all of the melt down and let downs he would end with BUT GOD! Basically God this life sucks BUT I trust YOU! God this is hard BUT GOD I know you love me. God I am losing faith BUT GOD you are faithful even when I am not! So. rest assured that there are better days coming but in the midst of the hard- God holds you and even if you find yourself in the darkest place- HE IS THERE!
Even in our own personal failings..HE IS WITH US!

"Is there any place I can go to avoid your Spirit? To be out of your sight? If I go underground, you're there! If I flew on morning's wings to far western horizion, you'd find me in a minute-you're already there waiting! Then I said to myself,"Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the light!" It's a fact: darkness and light, they're all the same to God." Psalms 139:7-1

So friends, we are loved on our best days and our worst days and all the days in between. God keeps his promise of not leaving us even when our emotions have us feeling abandoned or lost. We aren't lost...ever...he knows Exactly where we are at!

Yes, we will lose respect of some by being transparent and vulnerable because we challenge others and make them feel uncomfortable. But others will be drawn to us because they needed us to be transparent and vulnerable. It's our choice, Be Brave in the Lord!

Men of God, Pastors and Leaders if you are in an institution in which women are encouraged to Lead and Pastor please don't betray us by sharing resources that are created with hate and vehemently oppose our institutional doctrine. This type of behavior only undermines what women all around the world are trying to accomplish for Jesus. I have received so many messages from other women who are not being supported in roles of Leadership. These are women, like myself who have paid the money and given the time to go through the process of becoming credentialed but are still being kept from their full potential and are receiving back handed comments and missed opportunities. There is no place for compromise. Let us be people of integrity. Let us challenge respectfully misunderstanding of scripture. Let us not be afraid of the crowd but uphold correct biblical teaching. Now if you are in an organization that holds to not having women in leadership, I have no beef with you BUT if you are in an organization that is supposed to support us and champion us in those roles, then do so- AT ALL TIMES-
