The passing of Quita Cole, owner of QC Kitchen in Nashville, is truly heartbreaking. 💔 She was the definition of dedication and hustle — working seven days a week, rarely taking time for herself. When she finally announced she’d be resting for just a few days, none of us could’ve imagined it would be her last.

As small business owners, we understand the grind — the long hours, the pressure, the sacrifice. But this is also a powerful and painful reminder: rest is not a reward; it’s a requirement. 🧠💓 Your body will send you signals. And if we ignore them long enough, the consequences can be irreversible.

While no one can say exactly what caused her death, we do know that chronic stress, sleep deprivation, and skipping routine healthcare can all contribute to serious health conditions. Whether it was undiagnosed heart disease, an aneurysm, or sleep apnea, the connection between overwork and overall health can’t be ignored.

Let’s not wait until our bodies force us to stop. Prioritize sleep. Schedule the doctor appointments. Say no when you need to. Rest isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom. 🕊️
