Spelman College’s Department of Theater & Performance shines on the national stage! Featured in PBS’ Dangerous Acts docuseries, our student actors reimagine early 20th-century stories by Black women writers in partnership with the Lucille Lortel Theater. Under the direction of Professor Aku Kadogo, students brought to life “Blue Blood” by Georgia Douglas Johnson and “Her” by Eulalie Spence in the season two premiere episode. Morehouse College cheerleader Epiphany Wilson shared her passion for health advocacy at United Way, speaking about her nonprofit organization, The Heart Project, which she launched in June 2025.

Wilson founded The Heart Project to spread awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health and encourage people to prioritize self-care in order to live healthier, happier lives.

: At just 20 years old, Morehouse junior, Christopher Knight Jr. '27, is already proving what it means to be a visionary and a doer. The entrepreneur recently opened the third location of his booming bakery business, Cookie Chris, marking a major milestone in a journey that started in his own kitchen.

Knight, a graduate of Warhill High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, began selling homemade cookies at the age of 16. What started as weekend deliveries and hallway sales has grown into a full-fledged enterprise with three brick-and-mortar bakeshops: the first in his hometown of Williamsburg and two more in the Richmond area.
