A team led by Dearborn Engineers & Constructors, with Ballard Marine Construction, Bay Crane Companies and LGH USA, recently tackled a challenging lift for a new freshwater intake reaching a mile into Lake Michigan.

Using a 550-ton Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 and carefully engineered rigging, the crew safely handled massive, stress-sensitive precast concrete tridents, proving that in heavy lifting, precision matters as much as strength.
