Ridge Vent Not Done Correctly? This is the 2nd summer in my house and the attic gets scorching hot, 125+ F. There are no soffit vents, and just two vents on either side of the house. It also looks like the ridge vent isn't cut well on the inside.

Hello,

I am trying to find the load capacity for my 10'x14' deck. The deck looks and feels sturdy and I am not concerned about overloading, but just wanted to know the love load the deck can handle. This is built by Ryan homes and came with the house. I checked the documents I received and none of them mentioned the allowable load on the deck. A quick Google search said 40psf is a safe number to assume which would mean the total live load is about 5,600 lbs. Does that seem accurate?

I added this privacy fence screwed to the planter pots on each end. The total weight of the planter pots including soil is about 600 lbs.
