After decades in the industry, some lessons never change.

Great food brings people through the door.

Great hospitality gives them a reason to come back.

The restaurants that understand that create loyalty that lasts for years.

He was spending $1,000/month per person on healthcare for 7 people.

Now he’s covering his entire team — dishwashers and busboys included — for $600/month per person.

That’s a 40% cut in cost, and a massive expansion in who’s covered.

The model is called direct primary care (DPC). Doctors who walked away from the broken insurance system, built membership-based practices instead, and cut the middleman out entirely.

No corporate insurance maze. No “leadership only” tier. No minimum headcount required — this works whether you’ve got 150 employees or 15.

Chris Dimmick runs 3 restaurants in Dayton, Ohio. He’s calling this the most rewarding thing his company has ever done. Ahead of profit. Ahead of investor returns.

Next Monday, 11am, he’s breaking it all down live in the Restaurant Unstoppable community — what DPC actually is, what it costs, and how to find it in your market.

The challenge isn't creating something nobody else serves.

The challenge is creating something nobody else delivers the same way.

The most memorable restaurants don't just serve food.

They create moments people can't stop talking about.

There’s a shift happening.

Less obsession with nonstop work…
More focus on time, connection, and balance.

And some of the most meaningful moments still happen at the table.

This is bigger than most people realize.

A shift in how NFL Sunday Ticket is delivered could force some bars and restaurants to spend tens of thousands of dollars on new technology just to keep showing games.

Some operators are already considering walking away from football Sundays altogether.

If this impacts your business, now is the time to start paying attention.

The NFL is pricing independent bars and restaurants out of showing football.

For 30 years, Sunday Ticket came through DirecTV. One dish. One box. Done.

This season the NFL — through a company it created called EverPass — moved Sunday Ticket to streaming only. What sounds like a simple tech upgrade is actually a $30,000 to $40,000 infrastructure overhaul. Per location.

Smaller bars are already walking away. They can’t afford it.

A past guest of mine, Jim Hallers — Houston sports bar owner, 400 employees — testified before Congress this week about exactly this.

I’m bringing him on Coffee with Eric this Monday so independent operators can hear it straight, ask questions, and figure out what we do next.

This is your fight too. Share this. Show up Monday.

There’s a deeper meaning behind hospitality.

It’s not just about serving.

It’s about the relationship between host and guest.

Generosity on one side. Gratitude on the other.

That balance is what makes it work.

We forget how deep our relationship with food really is.

Food shaped our routines.
Our communities.
Our health.
Our identity.

It has always been bigger than just eating.

This is something a lot of people don’t realize early enough.

There isn’t a perfect formula.

Different paths, different approaches, different outcomes.

The real work is figuring out what works for you.

This is where multi-concept strategy gets interesting.

What doesn’t fit one concept can thrive in another.

It’s not just about creativity… it’s about reducing waste and maximizing value.
