Health update on Priscilla Franks, daughter of Josh & Ashley Franks...Priscilla had spinal surgery last year

Hi, friends!

Many of you have let us know today that you were praying for Priscilla to get a good report with Dr. Samdani. We wanted to say a huge THANK YOU! We feel your prayers and appreciate you so much.

Priscilla started this journey with a 68° thoracic curve and a 71° lumbar curve. Today, her thoracic spine is perfectly straight, and her lumbar curve is sitting at 27°. This is EXACTLY what we wanted! We wanted to leave the bottom curve flexible with the VBT, so that she could avoid having her whole spine fused all the way down. This gives her a much better quality of life, flexibility, the ability to play sports and bend and twist all she wants to!

The surgeon is a tad concerned that her spine has taken a little too good of a liking to the tether, and she is getting too much correction. The xray from today looked almost identical to the one from 4 months ago, but there was just enough of a change for him to anticipate that it is within the realm of possibility for her to need a second operation sometime in the future.

For now, we watch and wait. She gets repeat xrays in 4 months, and if the curve holds where it is, she will not need the second procedure. If you want to know how to specifically pray, please pray that her curve holds steady and does not over correct!

We are thankful that God has held us this far and trust Him with the future!

Unfortunately, as you've probably been able to tell, Facebook live audio has its limitations as we are only able to broadcast live in portrait mode, and improving the sound is something we have worked hard on (something made more difficult because of portrait mode). Continuing to explore different options and perhaps in the future maybe present pre-recorded concert segments. Thank you for your understanding and support.
