The Rockwell Radio Show is once again proud to be a part of the DJ's Day Out team! DJ's come from all over the country to celebrate the culture and the craft known as deejaying. Bring your cooler, your lawn chair and support your favorite DJ!

I played at a wedding this weekend. Didn't meet the clients until I got there.

They sent me a few requests in advance.

When I pulled up, I was like "OH, I SEE!"

Although my bread and butter is hip-hop, R&B and soul, I always keep a crate of Top 40/Pop records on stand by in case I need it. Came in handy.

Turned the party out. 😉

Confession: I used to be terrified of playing for teen events because I KNEW I had **no idea** what to play for them....even if I received a playlist.

I then started to look at it as a challenge. I eventually adopted the mindset that "a GOOD DJ should be able to play for ANY group".

Recently, I played to a room full of 5th graders....and I had a ball. Why? Because they didn't come to look good and take selfies. They actually came to have FUN.

Had to go back and remember what we were rocking to in the 5th grade:

I got some good news.

I wasn't sure if it was gonna happen but we have received confirmation that this weekend on The Rockwell Radio Show, we'll be joined by one of my St. Louis DJ heroes King Odie!

I'm STL born and bred and I ALWAYS love to see the 'Lou shine. Whether it's in music, politics, culture or sports, St. Louis has always produced giants. I started asking my hometown contacts who I should speak to for . They said "have you ever heard of ? I said no. Then they sent me a link.

There are a TON of talented hip-hop artists in the N.O.I that use their skills to raise the consciousness of the people....and BE DOPE at the same time. Several years ago, I started a mixtape series called "The Best of " to help promote their work.

As we make our way to Detroit for , I wanted to give y'all some ridin' music fitting for the occasion. This is strictly promotional. These are some of the joints I been rocking in car my and I hope you like them as much as I do.
