It's been a great time coaching virtually but I sure do miss the days of face-to-face groups. I feel it coming!

A business that doesn't take inventory rarely succeeds. We're taking inventory, passing on crt's to Terry Fitzpatrick and selling laptops, anvil cases, etc. (Room for new Gear!) Equipment for sale will be listed soon.
Peachtree Prompters Studios updated their business hours.
STOP PRETENDING! Your Talent can look directly into the camera and actually see who they are talking to. No more "pretending" to see someone in a camera lens. Using Peachtree Prompters Teleprompters, a 2-way conversation can happen with the Director seeing Talent in a teleprompter and Talent sees the Director/Interviewer. (We've been providing this ability since 1989 but only recently has it become popular.) No need for an Interrotron or shipping "exclusive teleprompters" to Atlanta... we've got it all here.
Take a look!
Happy Halloween, y'all!
Please give a warm welcome to our newest member, Ms. Peaches!
Corri English was one of the youngest Teleprompter Talent coming out of Atlanta. At the age of 7 or so she was an old soul of 700. She had a spark in her eyes that drew millions in on the TBS kids show that she co-hosted. Teleprompter came very easy for her (a rarity!) So proud to call her one of Atlanta's own! This is what she is up to now. Be sure to follow her!

Had a great time on "THE FISH" (1190 am biz radio) this morning talking with the legendary Dana Barrett, who hosts The Dana Barrett Show every morning. For a business show, we had way too much fun! Dana keeps you laughing, entertained and makes your experience on air seem like a fun day having coffee with your best friends. Great start to a warm, sunny day here in Atlanta. Dana comes on the air at 9am, so if you are in traffic at that time of the morning tune in! (TAG) The Teleprompter Accreditation Group Lauri Plesco

Through the years, auditions for jobs with Teleprompters were plenty... but Teleprompters were not! Many times, Actors were cast by auditions they memorized but when they got on set... they couldn't really use the Teleprompter well... and this led to VERY FRUSTRATED Producers. As time has gone on, castings have changed and most use Teleprompters in their auditions. Here attached are some great Actors auditioning with Teleprompters... how are your skills with Teleprompters??
What are you waiting for?? Fred Frederick Taylor dares you to defy limitations.
I will never forget this game- so touching. Mariah had 1 line on the Teleprompter to introduce Michael Jordan and I had less than 2 minutes (commercial break) to rush out on the floor with my teleprompter, set up the laptop and roll. Sitting next to camera on the floor, the T.D. was complaining my hair was a distraction so they blurred me out the best they could. ha! I think I hid pretty well. Prepping for this show was a bit hectic. I had to wake Mariah up for rehearsals she did not want to do and my thought was that no rehearsals spelled disaster so I woke her up and I was not very popular with her for that. ;-)
On game day, the audio crew for the entertainment band "Meatloaf" stowed away in my "hot seat" next to the stage and told me they were glad they weren't me at that moment! They laughed and chided me saying they could lip sync a live show and wished me well. Pressure? Yes, if I couldn't pull this off or the gear had any glitches at all... well, that was not an option. This is how we roll.
Before the game the T.D. was yelling orders and worried I couldn't pull this off. He didnt want to risk us getting caught on camera if we could not get in place within 2 minutes- all of this for just 1 line of teleprompter! I told the crew that failure is not an option. Michael Jordan was hidden behind me and surprised us by budding into the conversation. He told me his now famous statement "I've failed over and over and over again and that is why I succeed." This blew me away. It also helped me to realize I am only human and that effort (to do my very best) is all I can really control.
I loved watching and listening to M.J's final address to the audience; the ultimate of humility and so touching.
So what happened? ...I pulled it off and then I got paid. The end.
Since that show (game) I have failed over and over and over... my gear has helped save the day and it has also failed me and held up the crew... in the end, I can't beat myself up. I do the best I can with what I have in each moment. Sometimes the best I can do is not good enough... no regrets. These are all memories of lessons that have helped me get where I am today.
I continue to grow and sometimes I still make miserable mistakes. If anyone tells you they will not fail or that their gear has never let them down, then I would say that they are either very green and havent had the opportunities to fail or they are just "talking." You WILL fall, but will you get back up? You always have a choice to get back in the game. I choose to get back in the game; over and over and over again. I will do my best and give you my word and that is all I have.
With that being said, somebody recently compared me to Michael Jordan, which made me laugh! She mentioned that Michael Jordan did not try to "fit in," he did things his way, he was honest and humble and he succeeded because he kept believing in himself and not what was said about him. What an honor! This was such a touching comparison and it brought me back to the memory of this game so I naturally had to look it up.
I'm not a basketball fan but I have to say Michael Jordan surely is my hero (as in the song Mariah sings here.) I love working with so many talented people and I am honored to learn from each and everyone. I give thanks to everyone who has been a part of my journey and who continue to inspire me- just because they show up.
Have a great day and be your own hero today. I hope you fail so that you can experience the extreme joy of overcoming and getting back up. Carry on! xoxo -Lauri

You HAVE to watch this (esp in at 2:00)... "WE HIRED MOSTLY LOCAL CREW, ASIDE FROM 1 OR 2 FROM ELSEWHERE AND
[THE GEORGIA CREW] CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST CREW I'VE EVER WORKED WITH."
I chose to move to Georgia in 1987 instead of L.A., and I have learned so much more from the seasoned Atlanta Crew then most productions I worked on in L.A. Most of Georgia's local crew are legendary, top-notch professionals in the entire nation. John Singleton (Boyz in the Hood) asked me to come work for him in L.A. back in the early 90's but as much as I loved working with John...Atlanta is the place to be. Love seeing the crew being highlighted. Nice work, kids!

Mastering the Teleprompter; is he really going off topic and negating the prompter? Great Talent can fool you (have buzzwords in the prompter?) or great Presenters can use the Teleprompter, go off topic, come back in and do it all with grace, ease and not skipping a beat.
ARE YOU A MORNING OR EVENING PERSON??
(professed night owl here)
Yes... this confirms (to me) that creative people are more night owls and effective business management is best conducted in the mornings. My mom told me in High School that when I graduate I wont ever have to get up early again in my life; I can get a night job. It was great incentive to get me through the ridiculous school system... and now I find out she was wrong.
