Confectionist Bakery ATL is baking with a purpose this holiday season, offering “The 12 Cakes of Christmas” via online auction to benefit the children of Bulembu, a self-sustaining orphanage in southern Africa that provides food, education, medical care and unconditional love to more than 400 children (www.bulembu.org)
“The 12 Cakes of Christmas” will auction off a custom Confectionist Bakery ATL cake each day on its page (ConfectBakery) from December 8 through December 19 with 100% of ALL proceeds going to Bulembu via Partners in Action. Confectionist Bakery ATL will ship each custom cake to the winner directly.
Confectionist Bakery ATL is a Black-owned small business founded in 2014 in Atlanta when L. Monty Garside sidelined his attorney’s suit and donned a chef’s apron to fulfill a passion for bringing his late grandmother’s baking recipes to life again. Check out his inspiring story at

Bulembu is a former mining town in the southern Africa country of Eswatini that was purchased in 2000 by a team of social visionaries with a goal of creating a self-sustaining community to care for the country’s fast-growing orphan population (www.bulembu.org). Partners in Action is a certified U.S. non-profit that works directly with Bulembu to direct funding secured in the United States (www.partnersinaction.org)
