"Hey, what’s up, it’s Gatt Meania, the rapper from another planet
where what I’m doing right now is totally not weird at all..."
Dude Hugs is pleased to present Gatt Meania's "The Rapper From Another Planet", an absurdist satire of hip hop gone wrong in an ammosexual dystopia
In a world where fi****ms have achieved self-awareness, humans merely act as caretakers for their gun-fu overlords
Gatt Meania somehow escaped, and now lives with us here on Earth
From the title track to more flippant entries like "Big ol Butt", Gatt is letting us know just what things are like on his planet, and how it's not as different from our world as we might like to think
This record came about from trying to find an outlet for the beats I make for MIDIITISatl
A DJ told me about sales funnels, which led me to Russell Brunson, which is how I found out about Legion Beats and Anno Domini Beats
After joining Legion and AD's Midi Money group, I got access to some of their beats
These songs emerged over those beats, with extensive help from Graham Mark Dowdy and some choice contributions from Naomi Lavender
It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Diamond Street Studios by Greenia
In 2019 a band was formed out of pure chance which all spawned from my own chaotic mind field laced mind and circumstances at the time. The band became known as The Strange Truth of It All and the first LP was recorded at Diamond Street Studios with Matt Greenia at the helm. Along with some of my closet musical brothers we made a pretty great first record. True hearted and pumping the purest of soul blood.
Now we’ve, yet again, found ourselves a another crossroads in creation. I’m proud to announce that the new album “bone picker” by The Strange Truth of it All is so close to seeing it he light of day and being tangibly yours, at least digitally. Hehe
Stay tuned….

I'm Matt Greenia. Dude Hugs is my vanity "label". I write songs, program them into MIDIITISatl, have people record over them at Diamond Street Studios and then we put them out on
