Make it easy for recruiters to find you on social media by being intentional about your presence. Start by using your real name consistently across platforms so your profiles show up in searches. Choose a clear, professional profile photo that reflects how you want to be seen in your industry. Your bio should be simple but powerful, highlighting your role, skills, and what you bring to the table. Include keywords related to your field so recruiters searching for talent can easily discover you. Keep your profiles public or at least visible enough for professional connections to learn about you. Share content that aligns with your expertise, values, and career goals to build credibility over time. Engage with others in your industry by commenting, posting, and joining conversations that matter. Don’t forget to link your profiles together so there’s a consistent digital footprint across platforms. Make it easy to contact you by including an email or a direct message option in your bio. Stay active, because a dormant profile can be overlooked no matter how strong it looks. When you show up with clarity and consistency, you make it simple for the right opportunities to find you. This testimony from one of our student-athlete fathers is more than kind words. It is evidence of the impact 5th Quarter Sports Agency is making in the lives of families.

When a parent speaks with gratitude about their child’s journey, it reminds us that our work goes far beyond sports representation; it is about building trust, creating opportunities, and shaping futures.
At 5th Quarter Sports Agency, we believe every athlete deserves guidance that sees their potential both on and off the court.

Hearing firsthand how our support has helped a young athlete grow in confidence, discipline, and exposure inspires us to keep raising the standard.
This is what makes our agency different: we are invested not just in athletic success, but in personal development and lasting relationships.

Parents want more than promises. They want results, integrity, and people who genuinely care about their child’s future.

That is exactly what this testimony reflects: a partnership rooted in commitment, excellence, and trust.

Every success story fuels the next one, because when one family experiences the difference, others begin to see what is possible for their own athlete.
The journey with 5th Quarter Sports Agency is not just about getting noticed; it is about being prepared, empowered, and positioned for greatness.
This father’s words are a powerful reminder that when passion meets purpose, lives are changed and dreams become reality.

For families seeking more than just an agency, 5th Quarter Sports Agency is where talent is nurtured, futures are elevated, and champions are built. Punchline Pastor Marlin Lynch III

It's frustrating to see young women student athletes miss out on scholarships year after year because of a lack of exposure. As a company, we are focused on changing the narrative.

Don’t complain on social media about not getting offers, because it sends the wrong message about your mindset and maturity. Coaches and recruiters are always watching, and negativity can be a red flag. Instead of attracting opportunities, public complaining can make it seem like you lack accountability. It’s easy to point fingers, but growth comes from self-evaluation and improvement. If you’re not getting offers, that’s your cue to work harder, get better film, and expand your exposure. Use your platform to showcase your work ethic, your attitude, and your progress. Not your frustration. Remember, perception matters just as much as performance in today’s recruiting world. Stay hungry, but stay humble and professional at all times. Let your game and your consistency speak louder than your emotions. When you handle adversity the right way, it builds respect and credibility. Keep grinding in silence, and let your results make the noise.

GAME CHANGER TIP

When a coach follows you on Twitter, don’t just take it as a passive win. See it as an open door. Follow them back immediately to show awareness and respect. Then take it a step further and send a short, professional message introducing yourself. Keep it simple: your name, position, grad year, and a quick thank you for the follow. This shows maturity and initiative, which already separates you from a lot of athletes.

Engagement builds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust. Coaches recruit players they feel comfortable with. Not just talented ones. If you consistently interact the right way, your name stays in their mind longer. But be careful! Don’t spam or overwhelm them with messages. One thoughtful message and occasional engagement with their posts is enough.

Also, make sure your profile reflects who you are as an athlete and person before you reach out. Your highlights, bio, and pinned content should all represent your brand. Remember, social media is your first impression before you ever step on campus.

This small move can turn a simple follow into a real recruiting conversation. Punchline Pastor Marlin Lynch III

Be careful of the music you choose for your highlight film because it speaks before your game even does. Coaches and recruiters are not just watching your skills. They’re evaluating your judgment, maturity, and awareness. The wrong song with explicit or negative lyrics can distract from your talent and send the wrong message. You want your film to feel professional, focused, and intentional from start to finish. Remember, this could be your first impression, and first impressions carry weight.

Your highlights should reflect discipline, not distractions. Music that is too aggressive, vulgar, or controversial can cause someone to turn the video off early. On the other hand, clean, high-energy music can enhance your performance and keep the viewer engaged. Think about your audience. College coaches, scouts, and even parents may be watching. You don’t want anything in the background to take away from what you’ve worked so hard to showcase.

At the end of the day, your film is a representation of your brand. Every detail matters, including the soundtrack. Make choices that elevate your image, not ones that create questions about your character. Keep it simple, clean, and impactful so your game can speak the loudest. Marlin Lynch III Punchline Pastor

Michigan proved something powerful: the transfer portal isn’t the problem. It’s a tool. When used with vision, discipline, and the right culture, it can become a pathway to greatness. Their starting five, built through transfers, showed that talent alone isn’t enough. It’s about fit, chemistry, and purpose. These weren’t just players looking for a new home; they were pieces aligning with a bigger mission.

The portal gave them a second chance, a fresh start, and they maximized it. Sometimes growth requires movement, and there’s nothing wrong with repositioning yourself where you can thrive. Michigan didn’t just collect players. They built a team that trusted each other and bought into the system. That’s what turned potential into a championship.

Too often, people criticize the transfer portal as a shortcut, but Michigan showed it still requires work, sacrifice, and unity. You can’t portal your way into success without accountability and commitment. Those players had something to prove, and they played with hunger and urgency.

In life, just like in sports, a change in environment can unlock what was always inside of you. The transfer portal is not all bad. It’s an opportunity. And when preparation meets opportunity, championships are born. Punchline Pastor Marlin Lynch III

Follow-up Friday

Follow-Up Friday: In recruiting, persistence matters more than pressure. Student-athletes often send one email or message and assume that’s enough. The truth is, coaches are busy, and consistent, thoughtful follow-up keeps you on their radar. Check in weekly or bi-weekly with updates about your training, recent games, new highlights, or academic achievements. Keep your messages short, professional, and positive show appreciation for their time, reiterate your interest, and give them clear ways to view your progress.

Follow-up isn’t nagging. It’s showing commitment. It tells coaches: “I’m serious, I’m improving, and I want to be part of your program.” A simple, well-timed message can separate you from other athletes who disappear after the first contact.

Tell us about yourself Thursday:

Tip: When a coach asks, “Tell us about yourself,” don’t just recite stats or achievements. Share your story, work ethic, and mindset. Highlight what drives you, how you overcome challenges, and what kind of teammate and leader you are. Coaches want to see who you are off the court as much as on it.

Example approach:
1. Start with your athletic journey: “I started playing volleyball at 10, and over the years I’ve learned the value of consistency and resilience.”
2. Highlight your work ethic and growth: “I train 5 days a week because I want to be a player who lifts the team, not just my stats.”
3. Show character and mindset: “I focus on teamwork, communication, and leading by example both on and off the court.”
4. Finish with your goals and vision: “I want to play at a program that challenges me to improve while making a positive impact on the team.”

Stats show ability. Your story shows character. Coaches recruit both.
