One of my favorite stories about Jimi is when he played 2 shows at The Municipal Auditorium in Atlanta (where I saw one of MY first concerts - Dr. Hook in the Summer of '73) August 17th,1968. My friend Bob Bailey was a young kid at that concert that his older brother brought him to. After the first show, Bob made his way to the backstage doors to see if he could meet Hendrix. Out pulls a limo, Bob jumps up and down to get the rocker's attention, the limos stops, the back window rolls down, out pours a cloud of smoke enveloping an arm and hand holding a joint out to the young Bob who promptly grabbed it, took a puff, and handed it back.
