So I just found this video from back in 2000 from the Summer Sanitarium show with Metallica at the Georgia Dome.
James Hetfield got injured the day before the show on a jet ski at Lake Lanier so a bunch of the dudes form the opening acts filled in for Papa Het that night.
My band at the time "Tangerine" also got to play a set out in the parking lot.
What a great day it was and of course Metallica came back with a make good show at Lakewood Amp' a few months later.

I'm kind of relieved Atlanta isn't on the tour list yet because I'd feel like I have to go, but what I've seen online is pretty rough. I've loved this guy for so long! He's always been a remarkable front-man, and I've always found him to be very smart and funny when I've interviewed him over the years. The band he has now is fabulous - he's surrounded himself with some great talent, but Dave is nowhere near the same Dave (from what I've seen.) What do you think? Kaedy Kiely
