Are you also a millennial who despite feeling young and invincible has been diagnosed with a medical condition or disease? Maybe you are a friend of one or even know a family member who is facing this challenge. It's not easy. Most people, doctors included, often assumed that those of us in our 20's and 30's are healthy. But, in reality millennials often face the same health challenges at a much y

ounger age and with a different twist. The health problems come at a time when we are in the process of completing our eduction, building our careers and starting our families. When health problems happen, millennials need a place to turn to that provides health information in a way that is tailored toward the unique challenges they face and in a way that fits in with our on the go lifestyles. Fortunately, YMyHealth is here to help! YMyHealth is a digital health resource created for and dedicated to those of us in Generation Y. We offer episode packages of videos on different medical conditions and diseases that affect our generation. We showcase patient stories to learn about what our fellow millennials have faced and how they have overcome those challenges. We do Q and A sessions with knowledgeable physicians to talk about what matters to us most. We even get to hear the advice and experience from patients’ friends and loved ones. Finally, we have super cool 3-D medical animations that cover the core knowledge about a medical condition—anatomy, normal function, signs and symptoms of disease, diagnosis and treatment. All of these videos are less than five minutes long and accessible by computer, iPhone and iPad anytime, including long after we have walked out of the doctor's office (when questions often start to come up). WHY don’t you join us? Subscribe to the YMyHealth Channel on YouTube to see our first episode package. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to learn even more. Stay tuned for upcoming episodes!

Making the choice to have a natural pregnancy does not need to mean sacrificing prevention in the process. In this emotional and incredibly informative, YMyHealth Podcast episode, Katie Shanahan, MSN, NP, Director of Development for the Allo Hope Foundation , shares how unnatural a pregnancy can be without getting the RhoGAM shot after her own painful experience during pregnancy when she was not offered the shot by her healthcare provider.

The result: Katie became alloimmunized during her first pregnancy with her son and had to undergo multiple painful procedures. Her son also had to have multiple blood transfusions and other interventions to survive.

In this episode, she explores the trend of why women are refusing the RhoGAM shot and explains how skipping the shot can instead lead to unnatural pregnancies with serious medical interventions for moms and their babies.

A major congratulations to Katie for having the most listened-to episode of the 2025 YMyHealth Podcast!!!🎉🎉🎉 We are so honored that you joined us and shined a bright light on this important area of women’s health.

The future is now when it comes to colorectal cancer. Earlier this year, Ben White Fight CRC’s Federal Policy Manager and early-onset colorectal cancer survivor, joined us on the podcast to talk about the evidence based predictions for colorectal cancer in people under each 50 and Fight CRC’s ongoing initiatives to fight this preventable disease through education, awareness, and health policy. While it’s predicted by 2030 for early-onset colorectal cancer to be the number one cause of cancer death in people under age 50, Ben points out that this has already been partially realized. In 2024, colorectal cancer became the number one cause of cancer deaths in men under age 50. Please know the symptoms, learn about your family history, and talk with your doctor about getting screened. 🩺Congratulations Ben on having the fourth most listen to episode of the 2025 why my health podcast!! 🎉🎉We are so grateful to you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us and for fighting every day to work towards health policy changes the benefit of all! 💙💙💜🎧Listen to the full episode on the why my health podcast feed wherever you get your podcast.

“How are we the youngest people here?” It’s a question Jen French would ask herself as she looked around in waiting rooms during her wife, Kirsten’s stage IV colon cancer treatment. Kirsten was just 32 when she was diagnosed. Finding colon cancer-specific resources, tailored towards people under age 50 and members of the LGBTQ+ community was a major challenge. While we still have a way to go, things are getting better because of people like Jen using their voices. In this emotional podcast episode, she shares her journey as a caregiver, young mom, and Fight CRC Ambassador. Congratulations Jen on having the 5th most listened-to episode of the 2025 YMyHealth Podcast! 🎉🎉Many people have heard your voice and are learning from your journey.
