A Romanian business school founded with an eye toward boosting free enterprise in the formerly communist country has established a new partnership with Georgia State University. Atlanta-based AGCO Corp.’s is always focused on providing food for the future, but that task has taken on additional urgency in war-torn Ukraine. Marukan Vinegar's origins in Japan go back to 1649, but its factory in Georgia started five years ago, when it became one of six Japanese firms setting up shop in a single "eco-industrial park" in Griffin, Ga.

We visited today with Japan- America Society of Georgia and Next Generation Manufacturing to see yet another example of how Japanese firms add to the made-in-Georgia story.

Last night, Lalit Dhingra, formerly of NIIT Technologies and current CEO of EnSignis Digital, was gracious enough to share with us leadership lessons from a 40-year career in tech, as outlined in his book “Driven: A Journey to Leadership.”

Incisive insights included how to counter personal bias, handling conflict within teams, the importance of empathy, differences in leading established corporations versus startups, empowering employees versus “spoon-feeding” them, and many more lessons from his leadership journey from to America.
