How can we keep our sound guy on his toes? A 360 oner shot.

In the shot listing process, we kept debating on how we want execute this flashback scene to show how the lives of these four characters intertwine. The sort of cutaways then add bloom approach just felt like such a cheap cliche. So we asked - what if we shoot this flashback scene without cutting at all?

How were we going to capture the voice of four teenage girls accurately? Give the number one Brittney Spears’ fan in town a call.

and wrote the script with several table reads and brainstorm sessions with the girls. Figuring out how to write a 12 minutes short film while showing four main characters all in a meaningful way was a job we couldn’t do without the noggin of one

When a movie literally wouldn’t happen without one person.

It’s been just about a week since we kicked off our year with ‘Hero Complex’. What an ambitious ride shooting over a weekend of logistic and weather adversary blended with boundary pushing creatives. And none of it would have been possible without the kindness, the leadership, the reliable presence of leading producer ✨

We’re so thankful how you navigated the challenges on and off set, contributed vision-feeding ideas and showed everyone care and love. We wrapped the last day so late so we couldn’t share all of our thanks, but, Annie, thank you for everything.
