Mind-Boggle Productions is casting for a short film that touches on the subject of human trafficking. The goal of this film is to increase awareness and have a positive social impact as it travels through the film festival circuit.
HOWDY NEIGHBOR! CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS
BONNIE - 30’s, fair skin, fit, and conservative. Bonnie is the ideal candidate in making a happy home a reality. Her life is devoted to her family, mainly her daughter. She tries to be there for her husband as much as possible, but the question that repeats in her mind is ‘how long can I go on empty before my emotions are replaced with resentment?’
BETH - 6 years-old girls. Curious, full of positive energy, and adorable.
WOMAN’S VOICE – neutral accent, sharp, eloquent, demanding, can play into a sexy tone.
BOB – any age, any appearance. Obnoxious, self-consumed, and full of energy that lays on top of whomever is in the room. It’s a plus if overweight and/or short, but not necessary.
GERALD GREEN – Elderly. Nerdy. Nosy. Always wears green.
BECCA – 20’s/30’s/40’s, attractive in a librarian sort of way. Her inner desire to scream for attention are outweighed by the book in her purse or lap.
ROBIN – 30’s. Girl next door. Uninhibited. Flirtatious. Witty. Smart.
TINA – 20’s. Physical. Athletic
