Saddened to hear of the passing of Jay Weaver from Big Daddy Weave. Back in 2016, Jay' first appearance back with the band after dealing with major health issues was a show at Unity Baptist Church- Newnan with The JOY FM. It was a moving moment with his brother/ lead singer Mike talking about Jay's story and welcoming him back, and singing their big song, My Story.

These students from Madras Middle School in Newnan did an incredible job with this powerful for KING & COUNTRY song. If we would look at each other’s strengths, and build upon that, we can unite. It has even more meaning for the city & Coweta County, who has seen people come together from all walks of life after the tornado. Together, we ARE stronger!

This is the church where I lead worship. There was major damage on the property of the church from the tornado that hit Newnan. The student center was just about wiped out, and some damage to the worship center- not enough to hold us back from putting together an Easter Sunday service. There may be damage to the structures, but the heart of the church is still alive and thriving!
