Life comes at you fast and it comes at you hard. Thank God for easy things; easy to love, easy to laugh and easy to lean into the possibility of things being greater. I love it here.

You know what’s scary? Being in the same place you were last year. What a difference a year makes. Shout out to for teaching me how to listen and learn my body. 62 lbs lost and tons of knowledge gained since I stated the program.

On December 11, 2017, I heard words that changed my life: you have multiple myeloma.

Living with blood cancer as a Black woman has been a journey full of strength, setbacks, and resilience—but also one filled with frustration. September is National Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and while campaigns are everywhere, I rarely see data, resources, or representation that looks like me.

Black women are living with this disease too. Our stories matter. Our experiences matter. Our survival matters. It’s time for more research, more conversations, and more visibility for Black women facing multiple myeloma.

Because we are not invisible.

Repost from : (Demartravion “Trey” Reed, a 21-year-old freshman from Grenada, was found just after 7 AM Monday, September 15, 2025 hanging from a tree on the central campus of Delta State University (DSU) near the school’s pickleball courts.

Trey’s mother told WREG reporter Mike Suriani that she last spoke with him on Friday and that he was excited to start classes at DSU.

The school canceled all classes and all activities today, and investigations are ongoing.
