I'm here to help you discover and celebrate your personal style while also being mindful to the planet. I'm Carmen and I've been an Atlanta, GA resident since the 99 and the 2000s. After having graduated from Auburn University and worked as an in-house graphic designer at top companies like Fossil, Hobby Lobby and International Paper, I started Secondhand Shawty in 2016, which involves selling fou

nd vintage clothing to sell online and at pop-ups and events around the Atlanta Metro area. I've worn multiple hats in addition to being the owner including photographer, stylist, buyer, and content creator/manager on multiple social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. I no longer sell vintage clothing, but I still enjoy creating content and I have used my platform to work with companies like Toyota and LG as an influencer/content creator.

Everyone always asks me what my favorite thrift stores are but to be honest that’s always hard to say bc results may vary lol and you can almost always find something good at any thrift store. It all depends on what YOU are looking for and items that come into stores vary every single day so the real key is to go often! I am sooooo excited to share that I’ve finally launched my personal styling website! This has been a labor of love over the past couple of months and I’m so glad that I got it up and running.

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to my girl for being so kind to talk with me in the beginning stages and being so willing to share her expertise. I’ve enjoyed watching her journey so much over the years and she has been such a big inspiration to me.

I would also like to thank my mentor for sharing her story and giving me such valuable insight and advice. Who would’ve known that the mother of my best friend who I just met last year used to do the exact same thing years ago?! Thank you also to my family and friends for your support. you’re a real one for telling me to just make a video instead of typing paragraphs to post at the top of the page like duh 😂
