Celebration of Life of Naomi E. Long
August 13, 1920 — September 20, 2024

Naomi E. Long, 104 years young, made her transition from earth to Glory on September 20, 2024. She was born to the late Ed and Ethel Smith on August 13, 1920, and she was baptized at a very young age. Naomi was one of ten children; two of which unfortunately passed in a house fire. Naomi attended the Historic Douglas High School, and after married Reverend George Morris. To this union, they had four children. Reverend Morris preceded Naomi in death. Naomi joined Little Valley Baptist Church at this time, located in Beverly Heights on Meyer Ave, presided by Pastor B.J. Boozer. Later, the church moved to its current locale on Riverside Dr. Naomi worked in all areas of the church – Choir, Musician, Mission work, and teaching Sunday School; she was also Custodian to the Church. She also found a special calling in caring for the sick and shut-in.
