Evansville Comes Together for a Day of Service, Celebration, and Community Pride
Evansville, IN — In a vibrant display of unity and hometown spirit, Mayor Stephanie Terry, the Evansville Parks Foundation, and the Evansville Police Department teamed up to make this year’s 812 Day one to remember. From the very start of the day, the energy has been electric—and it’s only 3 pm
The morning kicked off with city services going block-by-block in the Goosetown Neighborhood, meeting residents where they are and addressing community needs firsthand. Soon after, the celebration shifted to the lively 812 Day Block Party at River City Coffee + Goods, where neighbors, local businesses, and city leaders mingled over music, food, and shared stories.
One of the day’s highlights was the launch of a new fundraising campaign by the Evansville Parks Foundation to replace and refresh signs at all city parks—an initiative that will leave a lasting mark on the community for years to come.
There’s still plenty of time to join in the festivities. Whether you swing by the block party, grab a bite from a local restaurant, explore one of our parks, or celebrate in your own way, don’t forget to capture the moment and share it with .
