It’s a week prior to the one year anniversary concert of the violent death of Shawn Ali, but all that Jus can do is constantly replay the memory of his brother’s gruesome murder over and over in his head. Having established himself as both a rising hip-hop artist and the owner of an emerging entertainment group, “Just InCase Entertainment.” Jus is beginning to lose focus from his once-promising ca
reer. Chanel, Jus’s stunning girlfriend and talented artist in her own right, does all that she can to be supportive of him, even offering new talent to his entertainment group and encouraging him to get back on the mic. However, Jus is haunted by the memories of Shawn’s death and the mystery surrounding who might have killed him prove to be much too strong and hold him back. Detectives Willis and Roberts question Jus, suspecting his direct involvement in his brother’s death, which makes no sense to him. Music mogul Matt Longdale, owner of Longevity Music Group, becomes even more of a factor acting as a father figure, helping Jus to think through his choices and decisions about Shawn’s murder and the future of his own career. For Jus, things go from bad to worse when his studio is vandalized, his engineer is shot and one of his artists goes missing. After filing a missing person’s report, Jus runs into a longtime childhood friend, Jennifer, who now works as an entertainment attorney in the city. They re-connect and Jennifer gives Jus the support he needs to work through his issues, which helps him clear his mind. Through dreams, fragments of the murder come to Jus revealing Chanel taking orders directly from Matt in order to manipulate him and trick him into signing certain artists. Soon after a trusted source informs Jus that a rap group called “The Mark’s Men” was ordered by Matt to kill his brother. Still in doubt, Trisha and Royale, two of Chanel’s closest acquaintances confess to Jus that Chanel is indeed playing him and that Matt is behind it all including the recent activity. Meanwhile Detective Roberts orders a warrant for Jus’s arrest after discovering a series of counterfeit deposits made in his account. In a city where everything is Magic, can Jus survive WithOut Reasonable Doubt?
