The Cass County Genealogical Society is having “A Meet and Greet” on the main floor of the Atlanta Public Library with Fred Manchester who has just written a book about his Rosser family history in Atlanta during the 1930s/40s intitled ”Dear Tomorrow: A Letter From Yesterday”. Fred will be donating a copy of this book to the Genealogy section of the library. Fred said that he is plaining on donating a copy of each of his two prior books to the Atlanta Library. The most recent is “Postcards From A Small Town”. Is a collection of his poems and fine art images mostly about small town life in Texas, several of which are set in the Atlanta and Linden/Kildare of my youth. The other, older volume is “Under The Endless Sky”, also a collection of his poems and fine art images about the Western United States.
The meeting will be Thursday morning, August 20th 2026 and start about 10:45 am on the main floor of the Atlanta library by the check-out desk and finish about 12:00 noon. The public, and the press are invited to attend this event.
