We love when we get to report good news 💯🗞️

Yesterday, a Cobb Couny judge dismissed all charges against the , who had also been indicted in the massive, sweeping RICO indictment against 61 individuals for their protest against Cop City in Atlanta.

This trial, by all accounts, what was the Attorney General’s latest attempt to continue its oppression campaign a rack up political points after the sweeping RICO charges were tossed last December.

This dismissal occurred just one week after two of the Cobb County 3 were indicted on federal charges. We will continue to report on that cases as they develop.

Today, we are uplifting the CENSORED fundraiser by our friends and media partners at Scalawag magazine—a Black-led abolitionist outlet truly rooted in decolonization and Southern liberation. Donate through the link in our story ↖️

This fundraiser was launched earlier this month after a long-time funder pulled its financial support of the magazine following a 2025 Scalawag newsletter wherein the staff commemorated its coverage to Palestinians who had been killed by Israeli occupation forces.

“The expectation embedded in the accusation from this funder is that any engagement with Palestinian political reality must be confined to a narrow script, one that strips away context and refuses to examine the conditions that shape resistance and repression alike—and one that is approved first, only, and always by the state apparatus. When that expectation is enforced through the withdrawal of funding, it functions as a lashing at the whipping post, as a reminder that there are topics that can be covered only within tightly controlled boundaries. Those boundaries shape what is considered acceptable discourse, which limits the scope of what can be examined and understood. And there are consequences for those who refuse to stay within those boundaries.” — Scalawag co-executive director Da’Shaun Harrison in their piece “The censorship of journalists is also violence”
