Absolutely devastated by the loss of Dolly Parton. What an absolute legend whose legacy will live on long forever.

My first visit to Dollywood in 2021 made me fall in love with Dolly in a way I hadn’t before, particularly with her music. It remains one of, if not my favorite, regional theme parks I’ve been to. What a beautiful, special place that carries the name of a beautiful, special person.

It really speaks volumes when EVERYONE is mourning the same person. But I know she wouldn’t want us to do that for too long.

Here’s some of my favorite shots from when I’ve visited Dollywood. I’m always feeling the pull to go back and explore the park more, as well as the surrounding areas in Tennessee more. That pull is even stronger now.

Helios Grand Hotel is beautiful, with great food and an amazing location next to Universal Epic Universe. It’s become one of my favorite hotels at Universal Orlando Resort.

You get such a great view of Epic Universe from Helios Grand Hotel with a park view room! Definitely one of the most unique views at Universal Orlando Resort.

It’s close to Epic Universe, but staying at Helios Grand Hotel may not be the best option if you’re planning on spending most of your time elsewhere at Universal Orlando Resort.

What a fun way to say goodbye to Volcano Bay before its temporary closure - Volcano Bay Nights.

When Universal Orlando first announced this event last year, I wanted to go so bad. Volcano Bay is my favorite water park, and truly feels like a paradise where you can chill and relax, leaving the worries of the real world behind. And getting to explore it at night sounded even more fun.

From the views I’ve gotten from my rooms at Cabana Bay, I knew the park would be absolutely beautiful, and I was right. The lighting really brought this park alive in a beautiful way that’s different from what you see in the sunlight.

Add in some perks like a Coca Cola Freestyle cup, free popcorn and mini churros, dance parties and meet and greets with characters, and shorter wait times due to the limited capacity (only like was 35 minutes for the water coaster), and this event is definitely worth the ticket price.

While I’m sad Volcano Bay will be closing for a few months at the end of October, I’m sure there’s reasons it’s needed, and I’m glad I got to experience it one last time at such a fun event.

P.S.: Stay at the Cabana Bay Volcano Bay View rooms - you’ll thank me later 🌋

There’s no better hotel to stay at than Helios Grand Hotel if you’re planning on visiting Universal Epic Universe.
