Plateau State clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has appealed to U.S. President Donald J. Trump again to swiftly to intervโ‚ฌne swiftly in the ongoing secยตrity ch@llenges in Nigeria.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially joined the Accord Party, days after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka has criticisโ‚ฌd President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deplรธying the Nigerian Air Fรธrce instead of his son, Seyi, to Benin Republic following the f@iled coup attโ‚ฌmpt against President Patrice Talon.

Speaking at the 20th Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) Awards in Lagos on Monday, the literary icon questioned the necessity of a military interventiรธn, suggesting instead that the President could have sent his son, Seyi Tinubu, to โ€œquโ‚ฌllโ€ the insurrectiรธn.

Soyinka recalled recently seeing Seyi in Lagos surrounded by heavily armโ‚ฌd security operatives, noting that such a level of protectiรธn implied he was capable of handling significant thre@ts.

๐Ÿ”ด He said: โ€œPresident Tinubu didnโ€™t have to send the Air Fรธrce and Military to dโ‚ฌal with the insurrโ‚ฌction to our sensโ‚ฌ of security and equilibrium; no there are easier ways of doing it.

Let me tell you where Tinubu should have looked for forces to quell that insurrโ‚ฌction, right here in Lagos or in Abuja perhaps, but there was no need to call the military or the Air Fรธrce.

๐Ÿ”ด โ€œI will tell you what happenโ‚ฌd in one of my home visits just two months ago, I was coming out of a hotel and I saw what looked like a film set, a young man detachโ‚ฌd himself from the actors and came over to greet me very nicely politely.

โ€œI looked around and there was nearly a whole battaliรธn occupying the ground of that hotel in Ikoyi. So I got back in my car and asked who that young man was and he told me.

โ€œI saw the SWAT team, a mixture of he@vily armed, at least 15 heavily armโ‚ฌd to the teeth security personnel, looked sufficient to take over a small neighbouring country like Benin.

โ€œI think the next time the president should just call and say โ€˜Seyi go and quโ‚ฌll the rebellioรธn over thereโ€™. I was so astonished that I started looking for the NSA.โ€
