COMPENDIUM XV---Grady's AP studio art class led by teacher John Brandhorst opened the doors to their annual art show tonight at the Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery downtown. Many Grady students, parents and teachers that stopped by were wowed by the number of unique and eclectic talents that these students possessed and presented to the public. The art students, mostly seniors, showed off their art ranging from mixed media to photography and took the final bow to their remaining days in high school.

We are pleased to report that Nexus and The Southerner both received 2015 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crown Awards today. It is the first Gold Crown Award ever for Nexus after three consecutive Silver Crowns. It is the Southerner's second consecutive Gold Crown Award. With the Gold Crown, the Southerner has won all three top national press association awards--the CSPA Gold Crown, the NSPA Pacemaker and the Quill and Scroll Gallup Award--in the same publication year for the first time in school history.
