💔 Tragedy in Jefferson County, Alabama… A community is mourning the loss of beloved high school football coach Demetrice Darnell Beverly, a mentor, father, and husband who touched countless lives. Authorities say he was fatally shot on Aug. 13, and De’Corlion Keshaun Robinson now faces murder charges.

This case is sparking debate as Robinson’s attorney argues it was a “heat of passion” and should be considered manslaughter instead of murder.

💭 Why is it that when Black women raise their standards, it suddenly becomes a problem? 🤔 White women & Spanish women move how they want every single day, and no one rushes to shame them — but the moment a Black woman demands better, here comes the disrespect, the shaming, the “attitude” label.

Let’s be clear: Black women are NOT asking for too much — we’re just asking the wrong people. Period. 🚫 You don’t hate our standards… you hate our strength, our self-worth, and our refusal to settle. And that says more about you than it ever will about us. 🖤

It’s exhausting. It’s old. It’s disgusting. Black women deserve love, respect, and the freedom to choose what’s best for them without being attacked for it. So to every Black woman reading this — keep your crown on 👑, keep leveling up 💎, and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for knowing your worth.

Because at the end of the day, our standards are VALID. Our strength is unmatched. And our happiness is non-negotiable. ✊🏾✨
