40 years of giving. Nearly 60,000 families supported. One powerful Cobb County tradition. ❤️

For four decades, The Center for Family Resources Thanks for Giving program has brought neighbors, volunteers and local businesses together to help families enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.

With the support of longtime partners like Lockheed Martin and Genuine Parts Company, the program plans to serve more than 1,000 families and distribute over 75,000 pounds of food this year.

At The Walker School in Marietta, students are encouraged to pursue both. From advanced academics and hands-on STEM experiences to athletics, music, theatre and the arts, Walker gives students the freedom to discover their interests while preparing for what comes next.

With an average class size of 15, students receive the individual attention and support needed to grow as thinkers, communicators and leaders.

Jessica has been photographing for Cobb in Focus Magazine for going on 10 years now, and seeing another one of our images on the cover is such a great reminder of what I love most about this business.
It’s not just about the photos. It’s about the relationships, connections, and visibility that come from showing up year after year.
One shoot leads to another.

One introduction leads to a new relationship.

And somehow, you look up and almost 10 years have passed!

As we gear up for the Giving Issue of Cobb In Focus we’re looking back at an organization that proves giving is already in action across Cobb County. 💙

In our July/August issue, we sat down with the Cobb Community Foundation to explore how they’re working to “Activate Good” by connecting people, ideas and resources throughout our community.

With more than $40 million in charitable assets and $6.5 million awarded in grants and scholarships in 2025 alone, their impact goes far beyond giving.

CCF is helping nonprofits grow, connecting organizations with the resources they need and bringing people together to create lasting change across Cobb.
