Alyssa became the President of the Animal Care Organization, where she managed outreach initiatives, raised resources and funds, and coordinated volunteers for local shelters. She also dedicated over 300 hours to the Fayette Humane Society, working with rescue animals, assisting in adoption events, and advocating for animal welfare. She pursued pathways in Latin, Marketing, and Healthcare, and in Marketing, she managed the Sephora segment of the school’s fashion show. She joined several honor societies, including the National English Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, the National Society of Leadership and Success, the National Society of High School Scholars, and Beta Club. She became a Manager for Track and Field, building relationships with coaches and athletes while supporting them throughout the season. In The Trail and The Legend, she served as the Business Manager, securing business ads to fund the programs, organizing events, assisting with social media content, and developing her graphic design skills. She received the Journalism Award and the Betsy Getreu Scholarship at Honors Night and earned the LifeSouth cord for donating blood four times. Barnfield will attend Georgia Southern University as a Global Honors Scholar, studying pre-med biology with plans to earn her MD and become a radiologist.

Ava served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Legend, focusing on creating a happier and more welcoming environment for the staff. She is proud of designing the cover of the 2025 yearbook and earning recognition as a “Book Look” in the 2025 Look Book. Under her leadership, the staff also won two All-Georgia Awards. Flores’s favorite memories include working closely with River and collaborating on the yearbook’s design. Outside of staff, she enjoys playing beach volleyball and reading. After graduation, she plans to attend Georgia College and State University.

Camilla contributed to The Legend as a four-year editor, serving as Index Editor, Underclassmen Editor, Coverage Editor, and Photo Editor. She spent three years covering the marching band and created all the photo slideshows for the multimedia page. On The Trail, she worked as the Photo Editor, ensuring high-quality visuals and helping to publish strong content. Camilla earned five All-Georgia awards for her work and received a National Scholastic Press Association Leadership Award. Her favorite memories include finishing the yearbook as a freshman with the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor at Starbucks, getting The Trail recognized as a distinguished site, and attending the grand opening of Funspot Atlanta and the Rock Lobsters hockey game as credentialed press. Outside of staff, she is involved in numerous honor societies, serves as President of the Knitting and Crochet Club, and plays hockey. O’Connell will attend the University of Georgia to major in journalism.

Caroline contributed to The Legend as a photographer, capturing key moments and assisting with Managing Staff. She was also part of the CNA pathway and plans to pursue nursing at Samford University to become a CRNA. One of her favorite memories on staff was the infamous burrito incident, and she’s proud of the GSPA awards her team earned. In her free time, she enjoys bedazzling things and spending time with friends.

Today, May 19., Hall Monitor, Stan Ledford receives his scooter made via a Go Fund Me created by freshman Parishay Khan. “I’m really happy that Stan got he’s scooter because we have been hyping it since January and have not been able to raise enough money till recently so we finally got it for him, luckily in time for the last day of school. Stan is a really nice guy and he is a great hall monitor. I’m really glad we got so much supporter,” said Khan.

Jayden joined The Trail staff as a first-year member, bringing positive energy and stepping out of her comfort zone to try something new. Outside of Trail, she spent four years in the McIntosh marching band and participated in four different clubs. After graduation, she plans to attend West Georgia Technical College to pursue a degree in hospitality management. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and exploring new cities.

Ashlee joined The Trail staff as a first-year member and quickly made an impact, earning a Best of SNO award for her work in storytelling and content creation.
