Saturday, Oct. 25, McIntosh participated in Clemson Declamation Contest. Students from Spanish, French and German classes had to recite a poem in that given language. Trail staffer, Amaya Diaz placed second and Trail Business Manager Sarina Jamaluddin placed third. “It was so great to see all of our hard work pay off.” Amaya Diaz (12) said.

Yesterday, Oct. 23, McIntosh Varsity Flag Football Team played their first home game against East Coweta and Chapel Hill. The Lady Chiefs lost against East Coweta with a final score of 0-6, but won against Chapel Hill with a final score of 14-0. “I like the energy level as a team and we did really good” Kennedy Moultrie (9) said.

Today, Oct. 21, Ap Bio students experimented how different colors of light affects photosynthesis rates. Senior Sophia Rueff used red, green and white light to see the changes it made to the leaves. “We experimented the effects different colors have on the photosynthesis rates,” Rueff said.

Today, Oct. 20, Fashion Club meets in room 101 and was led by Eden Piotrowski. Club members are given various donated clothes and fabric scraps that they can use to get creative and sew their own personalized clothes and accessories. The Club is sponsored by Skills USA, an organization built to fund students wanting to learn new skills, who provides all donated materials. Brody Lindström (9), an active member in the club says, “I’m able to use a sewing machine, but I didn’t know how to hand sew and fashion club help me learn how to hand sew.”
