As Editor-in-Chief of Rural Leader Magazine, it is both my honor and deep privilege to shine a spotlight on 40 exceptional individuals who are redefining leadership across rural America.
These honorees, all under the age of 40, represent the heartbeat of small towns—leaders in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, public service, ministry, criminal justice, and beyond. They are first responders, nonprofit founders, small business owners, and trailblazers who didn’t wait for a seat at the table—they built their own.
📍This year’s class represents the best of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia—three states rich in history, heart, and hometown grit. From barbershops and boardrooms to classrooms and clinics, their work is creating real impact in the places they call home.
