Hello, Nonsensers, friends, and curious people of the internet! It’s announcement time here at Nonsense HQ.

In March, as most of you know, we created and opened a bar called Lore with Wussy. It was a project that we’d worked on for close to two years. There was a plan for the business that we were all excited about, but after opening, it became clear that not all of the owners shared the same vision. This was, to put it mildly, a proper bummer.

Nonsense opted to step back in July to allow Wussy to more fully realize their vision while we negotiated our exit. A lot of you noticed and asked us questions. Some of you didn’t and just continued supporting. As always, we love and appreciate all approaches to you being you.

As of Saturday, Nonsense no longer owns any part of Lore, though we wish them all the best and will continue to do some of our events there. (Come see us at Lore this Saturday for Heyday and on October 25 for Hot Mess Halloween. Our Halloween night party will be at 404.exe on Ponce.)

We are excited. We are sad. We are relieved. We are disappointed. We are all of the things, but mostly, we’re happy and eager to get back to doing what we do best without distraction: throwing inclusive, kick-ass parties full of joy and whimsy.

Nonsense is a feeling, a vibe, a celebration, not a place. So most of all, we can’t wait to keep dancing and being ridiculous with you. Many more shenanigans to come.
