First up, INDIE SLEAZE is back this Saturday, September 26 at 529 for East Atlanta Strut night. Party at the Strut all day, then come dance yrself clean with us starting at midnight.

Then we’re spending an entire early Halloween weekend in East Atlanta. 🎃

Friday, October 16: HEYDAY 80s HALLOWEEN at 529.
Atlanta’s legendary 80s party gets the Halloween treatment. Five hours of the biggest songs of the decade, an 80s costume contest, decorations, prizes, and an early 8 PM start.
Come as an 80s icon, movie character, aerobics instructor, prom disaster, or whatever else the decade inspires. Costumes encouraged, never required.
And then, because apparently one Halloween party in a weekend wasn’t enough:

HOT MESS HALLOWEEN has moved to Saturday, October 17 at 529.
Yep, Saturday. Consider this your second night of our EAV Halloween double-header.
Dance + Pop, low-effort costumes, ridiculous prizes, zombie babies and general stupidity. Save the elaborate Halloween masterpieces for October 31. This is not that night.
Hot Mess has a new home at 529, and after Halloween we’ll be back every other month on Saturdays, with our other parties rotating through in between. It feels very very good to be back in East Atlanta Village.

Nonsense Halloween is Saturday, October 31 at The Garden Club, and this is the night to go for it.
Big costumes, weird costumes, stupid costumes, whatever you’ve been plotting all year. Dancing, weird activities, dumb prizes, immersive “situations”, and a bunch of things we’re not telling you about yet.

Last year sold out early, so we’ve got a much bigger room this year and bigger plans. This is our favorite night of the year and we do not mess around.

Atlanta Disco Society XVIII • 9.12.26 • Kimber was the DJ. Disco Bubbles were served. The disco was immaculate. The light-up dance floor was lit. Dance Bunny did his thing. Disco skaters were rolling. Everyone was there for good times and disco.

Not all nights out are like this. If you were there, you know. Our next meeting will be in 2027. Let us know in the comments if you want us to bring Atlanta Disco Society to you more often than twice a year.

Atlanta Disco Society didn’t bring disco to Atlanta. We’re just a small part of a much longer story.

For more than 50 years, Atlanta has built homes for DJs, dancing, escape, and community. Gay clubs were among the city’s earliest dedicated discotheques. Campbellton Road had a major Black disco scene. DJs here helped break new disco artists across the world. Backstreet became an institution. Limelight went wildly over the top. Johnny’s Hideaway is still dancing.

And Atlanta still loves disco.

Tomorrow, we get to add our 18th night to that story and you are invited.

We’re transforming The Garden Club, turning on the light-up dance floor, hanging the mirror ball, and Kimber is playing disco from open to close. The classics, the deeper cuts, and probably a few songs you’ll be Shazaming (discreetly) on the dance floor.

Dress for the discotheque. Bring your people. Come dance.

We only do this twice a year. After Saturday, Atlanta Disco Society returns in 2027.
