Bartow County - Lane Closures Begin on I-75 for Bridge Replacement Project

WHAT: Weather permitting, crews will soon begin replacing the I-75 bridges over Cedar Creek Road. The construction will require closing lanes on I-75 beginning on Saturday, July 26. Motorists should expect delays during the closures and watch for crews that might be near traffic in the work zone.

WHEN: From Saturday, July 26 through August 31
- Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
- Friday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.

WHERE: Various lanes in both directions on I-75 will be closed north of milepost 299 on the bridge over Cedar Creek Road.

Advisory: Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Frank Miller, 47, of Cartersville, Georgia, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Steven Ham, 43, of Cartersville, Georgia, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release on November 26, 2024, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.
