Ruth Slenczynska, a 97-year-old pianist and last surviving pupil of Sergei Rachmaninov, signs landmark record deal.

Born in California in 1925, Slenczynska was the daughter of Polish immigrants. She made her concert debut at the age of just four years old, and one year later, performed a work of Beethoven on television (watch below).

At six, Slenczynska made her European concert debut in Berlin, and now 92 years later, this legendary performer is still enchanting audiences across the globe with her piano skills.

🎨 Submissions are now open for the 2022 Juried Show at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Gallery, opening February 10th. You can find the submission form online at:

until midnight on January 23rd.

They are asking for artists to select one piece that strongly represents their artistic practice. All artworks will be selected in a blind jury process. If your piece is chosen, Callanwolde will be in touch by February 1st with more details. The winner of the 2022 Juried Show will be awarded a solo exhibition at the Callanwolde Gallery in 2023.

Evensong will be preceded by an organ recital by St. Luke's Director of Music, Matthew Brown, at 4:15 p.m. He will offer music by Buxtehude, Bach, Howells, and Duruflé on the Alston Memorial Organ.

A reception follows in Budd Hall. All are welcome!

New Trinity Baroque's annual Christmas concert is back! It features holiday-themed baroque concertos in a beautiful candlelight setting. This year's program will include some of the best and most beautiful Christmas-themed baroque concertos, featuring NTB's incredible instrumental soloists. In addition, you will be able to hear the amazing sound of St. Bart's great "Rosales" organ of St. Bartholomew's, played by the church's organist Stephen Frketic, who will showcase several Christmas-themed baroque pieces on this wonderful instrument. Described by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as "the most satisfying concert of the holiday season – a model of how to do it," this concert is one of the most popular classical music Christmas events in Atlanta.
