topped 3,000 finishers on Saturday in their final race of the year. The last time they did that was November of 2020 at this same event. Back then it took two days to reach that number.

This season averaged 400 more finishers per race than 2024 and marked Savage’s biggest year overall since 2019.

Joe received more than 200 emails after asking for racer feedback. With an assist or two from AI, he responded to every one.

This morning, Spartan Race announced the first change based on that feedback.

From Spartan Race HQ:

“We heard you and we listened. Finisher shirts are moving back to the finish line, and we’re still reviewing everything you shared about medals, distances, and recognition. Just be careful, Joe might make you run the extra mile first to truly earn them. Aroo.”

Yesterday’s post confused some and upset others. Today we share the same news with a different photo.

Spartan Doubles just announced a new race format.

– Two racers, one team, side by side from start to finish.
– Offered at Stadion, Sprint, Super, Beast, and Ultra distances.
– Standard Spartan rules apply with added partner protocols.
– Only one teammate must complete each obstacle (except Fire Jump and Spear Throw).
– Both must hit the Fire Jump and Spear or both serve the penalty.
– Counts toward your Trifecta just like a solo race.

For the first time ever, is launching multiple ELITE National Series Races. Your best 2 of 3 races in each regional race make up your score. The Spartan Zendesk lists the multiple tie breaker options that may come up. They’ll be using the old 300 point system scale. So far no announcement or zen desk listing about prize money for the races or the series as a whole.
