My band and I had a great show at the Gala.
The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta has been a light in our Georgia communities, bringing people together through education and dialogue. I have seen how their work opens hearts, breaks barriers, and builds bridges of true understanding.
It is not an easy job for a Muslim Woman to establish an org and successfully run the org for years in Georgia. We can only see from far and think that it is easy because we don’t see the hardship, the years of dedication that goes behind it. Thank you sister .khalifa for all the work you have done.

The best part of being a singer/artist is when the kids come and ask to take photos with me.
These little Afghan sisters came up to me with such confidence and asked if they could take photos with me and then they just explained to their mom in Pashto that they managed to convince me to take photos and the mom needs to click it. Usually I get older people or parents to ask for photographs but these girls just made my day.
May Allah bless you and keep you strong like this and guide you to a happy and successful life. I’m always amazed to see how our immigrant kids become the strength of parents and constantly become great translators. They become the mentors of their parents.
