Day 19 of 30 🦋🌻🫶🏽❤️🩹
Losing a child, losing someone you love—it doesn’t just break your heart, it shifts your entire world. It leaves you searching for meaning in places that suddenly feel empty, questioning your faith, your purpose, and even who you are now. That kind of grief is deep, heavy, and lifelong… and it deserves more than surface-level words. That’s why I created Sunshine State of Mind. Not as an escape from the pain, but as a place to sit in it, to grow through it, and to be reminded that even here—especially here—God is still present.
This page was born from the understanding that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning how to carry love and loss in the same breath. It’s for the ones who feel lost, who feel like a part of them was buried with their loved one, who are trying to find their footing again in a life they didn’t choose. It’s for the ones who are angry, questioning, holding on by a thread, and still somehow searching for something more. Here, we choose to believe that even in grief, there is purpose. That even in darkness, there is a light that cannot be extinguished.
Sunshine State of Mind is a reminder to grow toward the Way, the Truth, and the Light—even when it feels impossible. It’s about planting seeds of faith in broken ground, trusting that God can still bring beauty from ashes, and allowing yourself the grace to heal at your own pace. Some days that might look like strength, other days it might look like simply getting through the moment—but both matter. This space is for real, raw, unfiltered healing. A place where your grief is seen, your story matters, and your heart is held. You are not alone in this… and even in your darkest valley, there is still a light worth reaching for.
