Day 19 of 30 🦋🌻🫶🏽❤️‍🩹

Losing a child, losing someone you love—it doesn’t just break your heart, it shifts your entire world. It leaves you searching for meaning in places that suddenly feel empty, questioning your faith, your purpose, and even who you are now. That kind of grief is deep, heavy, and lifelong… and it deserves more than surface-level words. That’s why I created Sunshine State of Mind. Not as an escape from the pain, but as a place to sit in it, to grow through it, and to be reminded that even here—especially here—God is still present.

This page was born from the understanding that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning how to carry love and loss in the same breath. It’s for the ones who feel lost, who feel like a part of them was buried with their loved one, who are trying to find their footing again in a life they didn’t choose. It’s for the ones who are angry, questioning, holding on by a thread, and still somehow searching for something more. Here, we choose to believe that even in grief, there is purpose. That even in darkness, there is a light that cannot be extinguished.

Sunshine State of Mind is a reminder to grow toward the Way, the Truth, and the Light—even when it feels impossible. It’s about planting seeds of faith in broken ground, trusting that God can still bring beauty from ashes, and allowing yourself the grace to heal at your own pace. Some days that might look like strength, other days it might look like simply getting through the moment—but both matter. This space is for real, raw, unfiltered healing. A place where your grief is seen, your story matters, and your heart is held. You are not alone in this… and even in your darkest valley, there is still a light worth reaching for.

Day 9 of 30 ❤️‍🩹🌈

Postpartum after child loss is something no one prepares you for.

Your body still goes through it all… the bleeding, the hormone crashes, the milk coming in… but your baby isn’t in your arms. And that kind of pain is hard to even put into words.

You’re grieving deeply while also trying to heal physically. You’re exhausted, emotional, and overwhelmed, yet somehow expected to keep going. People check on your loss, but they don’t always check on your postpartum. And both matter.

Some days feel heavy in your chest.
Some moments feel empty and quiet.
And sometimes it all hits at once.

Triggers are everywhere, babies, pregnancy announcements, even your own reflection. And it can make you feel so alone.

But hear this…
You are still a mother.
Your body still deserves care.
And your grief is valid in every form it shows up.

There is no timeline for healing. No “right way” to move forward. Just one step, one breath, one day at a time.

If you’re walking through postpartum after loss… I see you. I feel you. And you are not alone 🤍
