With a background in print photography, the elements and principles of design have always played a role in Jack's profession. He made the transition from still photography to motion pictures and television production in the early '90s. Shortly after, Jack found himself art directing, designing, and fabricating custom props for television commercials and motion pictures nationwide. Today, Jack owns

and operates a 15,000 square foot custom scenic shop in the heart of Atlanta, specializing in production design, art direction, set design, set construction, graphic design and large format printing and plotting for the southeast's thriving film business.

Van Matre Productions has been an established entity of Atlanta’s film and advertising markets for the last 15 years. While Founder, CEO and Production Designer Jack Van Matre has been working in the industry for over 30 years. With a background in print photography, the elements and principles of design have always played a role in Jack's profession. He made the transition from still photography to motion pictures and television production in the early '90s. Shortly after, Jack found himself art directing, designing, and fabricating custom props for television commercials and motion pictures nationwide.

Today, Jack owns and operates a 20,000 square foot, full service, boutique scenic shop in the heart of Atlanta, specializing in production design, art direction, set design, set fabrication, graphic design, large format printing and CNC routing for the southeast's thriving film and advertising markets.
